Who is Cecilia Sue Siew Nang ? Ng Boon Gay corruption case

IT executive Cecilia Sue Siew Nang is the mystery women who is involved in an alleged commercial corruption case involving former Central Nacotics Burea (CNB) chief Ng Boon Gay.

She is alleged to have performed oral sex for the CND head honchu on four occasions to secure IT contracts worth S$640,000 – some forummers from EDMW jokingly suggested Cecilia should be entered into the Guinness Book of Records for the most expensive blow job in the world at S$160,000 per blow.

Since news of the Corrupt Practice Investigation Bureau (CPIB) investigation on Ng Boon Gay broke in January this year, many Singaporeans were curious to find out the identity of this mystery woman who brought about the downfall of the CNB chief.

IT executive Cecilia Sue Siew Nang from making a report on the alleged advances of former Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) chief Ng Boon Gay.

In her first highly anticipated appearance in a district court yesterday, Ms Sue, 36, who took the stand, said that Ng had repeatedly asked her for oral sex last year.

But she told the court that she was not a willing participant, and was fearful of the ramifications if she rejected his demands.
 

Cecilia Sue breaks down in court, insists she is telling "the truth"

Ng, 46, is facing four charges of obtaining sexual gratification from Ms Sue between June and December last year, to further the interest of her companies.

The pair had met through a mutual friend in 2009 at a Tanjong Pagar pub, when she worked as a sales manager for IT company Sun Microsystems.

They kept in touch through lunch appointments and telephone conversations, she told the court. This continued after she moved to Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) in April 2010 and, then, to Oracle Corporation Singapore last November.

All eyes were on Ms Sue, who was smartly dressed in a black blazer over a white shirt, and a black skirt, when she walked into the silent courtroom at about 4pm. She carried a Louis Vuitton bag and wore her wavy hair in a ponytail.

As she gave her testimony in a meek voice, Ng appeared expressionless while his wife, Madam Yap Yen Yen, busily jotted down notes, wearing a stern frown.

Ms Sue told the court that she had mentioned to Ng that she was pursuing a business opportunity with CNB. Ng’s advances began in March last year, after CNB had awarded a contract to IT firm NCS, she said.

NCS acted as an intermediary, which provided services to install products sold by HDS.

Shortly after, Ms Sue and Ng had a “celebratory lunch” together as she had had a “good quarter”. After a toast, she said Ng broached the subject of oral sex, but she did not respond.

Last November, CNB awarded a contract to another intermediary IT company linked to HDS.

In court yesterday, Ms Sue detailed what happened in the four instances which landed Ng in hot water with the authorities. my paper lists them:

INCIDENT 1:

Venue: Carpark at The Sentosa, A Beaufort Hotel

When: July 2011

After having drinks at hotel Capella Singapore nearby, Ms Sue said she drove Ng to The Sentosa, where his car was parked.

With a quiver in her voice, she said that they were chatting in her car when Ng suddenly pulled her towards his lap.

Shocked, she pushed herself away from him, and told him off. He then apologised. She said: “I wasn’t happy. (I was) anguished. And I felt intimidated. There was this fear.”

She said “it was an act” which she was “unwilling” to perform.

INCIDENT 2:

Venue: Carpark at Hort Park

When: November 2011

Ms Sue said she met Ng for drinks and a light dinner at a restaurant at the park.

It was there that he asked her to access a pornographic website using her iPad tablet.

When they later went to her car, he tried to kiss her. Again, he pulled her towards his lap, and Ms Sue “tried to escape” but Ng was “very strong”.

She said she did not report him as she felt it would be a disgrace if she did. With tears welling up, she told the court: “I wouldn’t have reported and allowed a chance to disgrace and affect my family.

“Moreover, he is well-connected. Who will believe me, right?”

INCIDENT 3:

Venue: Mount Faber

When: Dec 2, 2011

The pair had dinner at Keppel Marina. She was supposed to drop him off in her car afterwards, but he asked her to head to Mount Faber instead for a chat. There, he kissed her and pulled her onto his lap.

She struggled and managed to pull herself away, she said.

Ms Sue pointed out that she had agreed to meet him again because he told her he would not repeat his previous actions.

“I just didn’t want to sour this. I wanted to maintain a cordial relationship. I thought, as a gentleman, he would understand my feelings and not push any further,” she said slowly.

“The thing is, if there’s love, I would have done it voluntarily.”

She also said that she feared making an enemy out of him, and that he might damage her reputation.

INCIDENT 4:

Venue: Carpark at Singapore General Hospital

When: Dec 9, 2011

Ng had called Ms Sue, asking to meet her at the carpark.

She was out with her friends at the time, but agreed.

When he got into her car, he put her hand on his lap before forcing her neck and head towards him.

She pulled away and told him she had to leave, she said.

When asked if oral sex had been expected of her during the four occasions, Ms Sue dismissed it.

She said: “Why would he have that thought? We were not in any relationship. Neither am I the sort of person to go for such a thing.

“I’m particular about hygiene and cleanliness, and I don’t give that kind of impression.”

She paints herself as the helpless executive forced into giving oral sex to a top civil servant. She even cries in court, saying the publicity is killing her, and pleads with the judge to ask the defence not to ask ‘insulting’ questions

Snared by an investigation into a corruption case, is Ms Cecilia Sue Siew Nang merely a forlorn woman who fell for the wrong man?

Her statements to the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB) seem to paint such a picture.

In court, she has also come across in parts of her three-day testimony last week as a helpless victim of cruel and intense public attention because of her adulterous relationship with former Central Narcotics Bureau chief Ng Boon Gay.

Ng, 46, faces four counts of corruptly obtaining oral sex from Ms Sue between July and December last year.

She described the relationship that began when they met at a gathering at a pub in Tanjong Pagar: “When I first came to know him in 2009, Boon Gay came into my life to rationalise my thoughts and give me comfort and support when I most needed help.

“I had a strong liking for him.”

That is, until Ms Sue, 36, suffered a pregnancy scare earlier in the first quarter of 2010, according to her statement to CPIB.

“I asked Boon Gay what if the child was his. At that time, I felt that Boon Gay was an irresponsible man because he didn’t want to show responsibility.

“He did not comfort me either and he broke my heart. It was then I decided to end my relationship with him.”

Ng’s lawyer, Senior Counsel Tan Chee Meng of Wong Partnership LLP, had cited the statements in his cross-examination.In another statement, she said: “I had mentioned that ‘I’ve made myself clear and do not want history to repeat itself and cause another scare".

“What I meant was I would not like to have another sexual penetration with Boon Gay anymore because of the pregnancy scare.”

Ms Sue also said, as she broke down in tears, that “recently with all the publicity, it’s already been killing me”.

In court, she avoided making eye contact with Mr Tan or the gallery, and sat facing the judge.

She also pleaded through District Judge Siva Shanmugam: “May I request that the defence counsel treat me with respect and not to pose too many embarrassing and insulting questions to me?”

She also wanted Mr Tan to “understand my condition and spare a kind thought about it”.

Ms Sue said that the episode caused mental stress and “affected my physical health”.

The court was earlier told that she has been diagnosed with clinical depression.

On Friday, Mr Tan put it to Ms Sue that it was her desire to save herself from prosecution “as well as her marriage” that prompted her to testify that Ng had forced her to perform oral sex.

He said: “You had to suggest that the sexual acts were forced because you were concerned about your marriage.”

But Ms Sue countered: “If you want to prove we had a relationship, I’m telling you we did not have.”

She insisted that she had been tired and stressed during the CPIB interrogations, hence the discrepancy between her court testimonies and her CPIB statements.

As she recounted how Ng forced her repeatedly to have oral sex with him, Ms Sue broke down in tears several times.At a lunch sometime last year, she said that Ng asked her: “When you want to take in?”

When the prosecution asked her to elaborate, she replied: “Common knowledge... to take in his sperm.”

Ms Sue also broke down as she recounted the incident last July after they had met at Capella hotel. A few hours later, she drove Ng back to Beaufort Hotel to collect his car.

She said: “We chatted in the car… and then… all of a sudden, he pushed my head down to his private parts and he shoved his private parts into my mouth.

“I was very shocked. I… I tried to… tried to push away.”

At another meeting in November, Ms Sue said she met Ng at Hort Park. He asked her to access a pornographic website while he had his dinner. Ms Sue said she felt disgusted.

After they went back to the car, he started to talk about porn websites and how she felt.

“I could see he was looking a bit excited. He said that he was getting hard and can I help him?”

She paused to compose herself and said Ng tried to kiss her, then pushed her head down to his “private parts”.

“I tried to escape. I struggled and tried to push myself away but while doing so, the private parts got in my mouth. He was very strong.”

It took her some time before she managed to get out, added Ms Sue.

After the super success of Gabbar Singh, Powerstar Pawan Kalyan has wisely chosen director Puri Jagannath to helm his next movie Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu. The director does not let him down. He has wonderful story and politically charged dialogues to help Pawan to rock the audience once again after Gabbar Singh. Pawan Kalyan is the showman in the movie.

Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu is an action movie and Pawan Kalyan's electrifying performance is the main attraction in the film. Puri Jagannath's message-oriented story and punch dialogues, Mani Sharma's hit music, Shyam K Naidu's excellent camerawork, stunning choreography of action and dance sequences, Bramhanandam's comedy, beautiful artwork, costumes and locations are its other highlights.

Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu can be called a political satire. The movie throws light on caste based politics prevailing in the state and the country. It shows how politicians are dividing people especially students in the name of caste for their vote bank. Puri Jagannath has used his politically charged dialogues to condemn current politics.

Besides having an interesting storyline, Puri Jagannath has managed to have good grip on the tempo, which never lets you down throughout the movie. The first half is quite interesting with a couple of songs, comedy and action sequences. In the second half, the hero takes on a politician and his energetic performance and dialogue delivery keep you glued to the screens. The emotional and politically charged climax is simply superb.

Rambabu (Pawan Kalyan) is a hot blooded person, who gets involved in social responsibilities. Ganga (Tamanna), who is a technician of a TV channel, asks Rambabu to join her office as journalist after he involves in two big war between two student gangs about cast system. Meanwhile, Ranababu (Prakash Raj) enters politics as a heir of his father (Kota Srinivasa Rao). Rambabu gets into fight with Ranababu. What happens next will form the crux of the story.

As usual, Pawan Kalyan is at his best and his performance is much better than in Gabbar Singh. He rocks the viewers in comedy, action and dance sequences. What stands out in his acting is his dialogue delivery, which is sure to stun everyone. Tamanna also rocks as glam doll and she has done good job as TV journalist. As second heroine, Gabriela Bertante has failed to deliver good acting. As villainous politician, Prakash Raj impresses you again. Bramhanandam's comedy is good but lacks freshness. Nasser, MS Narayana, Dharmavarapu, Kota and others are good in their respective roles.

On the technical front, Mani Sharma's music is the main highlight and his compositions like 'Jorramochinde' and 'Extraordinary' will impress you a lot. Cinematographer Shyam K Naidu has done a good job especially in the song sequences. Puri's dialogues have lot of punch and surely get whistles in turn. The choreography of action and dance sequences is simply superb. SR Shekhar's editing is also commendable.

Verdict: The story of Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu is not very fresh as it has already been dealt in Mahesh Babu's Businessman. What strikes you in the film is the way Puri has presented this subject on screen. Pawan Kalyan's performance stands out in it. It is a good treat for both class and mass audience, and it is a must watch film for the Powerstar fans.

Sunil: It is wonderful movie, Pawan Kalyan's performance in the movie simply superb. We enjoyed a lot each and every dialogue of the movie. Picturization of the songs is good. Ali and Brahmanandam's comedy is super. Tamanna has different role and we liked a lot. Prakash Raj and Kota villanism is nice. Climax is too good. Fight with men who wore sarees is excellent. Ordinary and extraordinary meaning dialogues are simply superb. Overall message oriented movie. Thank u Puri for such a good movie.

Karthik: I'm not a Pawan fan, but I have to admit the fact that it was a good movie with a message in it. And because of the racy screenplay it won't bore the audience. Although there are traces of Puri's previous films Golimaar, Pokiri and Businessman, the concept is new so I hope it works at the BO.

Prasanth: An inspiration film, at least some people could respond to this film. This is a message-oriented film, good.

Rakesh: Movie is good. The scenes between Tamanna and Pawan rock. Dialogues: "ammayilu ordinary ye"; "sollu vaddu"; "pakka rashtrala thallulu ante neeku nachadu"; etc.. ilaa chalane unnayi. I would like to watch it again. The music and choreography are also superb.

Chakradhar Berhampur: CGTR ki tirugu ledu same year 2 hit movies in the industry this is the 1st time that is Pawan Kalyan no one can reach him.

Mahesh: Tagore is to Chiru and CGRB is to Pawan. It's not a movie of a hero, but a movie for heroes! Great movie! Great direction and excellent performance by Pawan. His way of delivering dialogues is awesome. They r not dialogues, but r like awards given by Vivekananda. Synopsis: Rambabu (Pawan) is a mechanic who cannot stand injustice. Thanks to a quirk of fate, he becomes a Television journalist and goes about fixing the society.

Movie Review: We'll begin with a disclaimer: Nobody goes to a Pawan Kalyan film looking for an immersive cinema experience per se. With the exception of the film critics, the majority of the viewing audience, be they fans or not, just go to watch him do his thing. Well, that's pretty much the universal operating principle for most big star Telugu films and this one is no different. The movie, it seems, is director Puri Jagannath's euphemism for "Pawanism". Don't ask us what that means but it sure seems to get his fans to break into a frenzy. Perhaps that's the magic of cinema rooted in personality cult!
The film even has Pawan taking potshots at himself! "Pawan Kalyan asale thikkodu, oka gun theesukoni kalchesthadu," (Pawan Kalyan is a crazy guy and he could even bump you off with his gun) goes a dialogue in the movie. "Ramudini Thaluchukunte Punyam Vasthundi, kani Rambabu ni thalchukunte nee chavu breaking news ga vasthundi," goes another dialogue. It has to be said that Pawan does a fabulous job of being himself as ever. His mannerisms are spot on as is the intensity in his dialogue delivery.

It's a character that's right up his alley. Rambabu is the angry young son of a wronged woman whose fight for justice lands her in a mental asylum, which is where she gives birth to him, it is revealed. He grows up to become a mechanic with a penchant for setting more than just defunct automobiles right and has a Che Guevara picture painted on a wall in his room.

Rambabu thinks individual responsibility comes before social responsibility and that we must be good people first to create a better world for ourselves. "Na kutumbani ee rashtram patinchu ko poyina, nenu matram ee rashtrani pattinchukuntanu (though this state has failed to take care of my family I will take care of this state)," he declares in the end as the credits begin to roll.

The movie begins on a seemingly serious note with a montage of grainy newsreels of YS Rajasekhara Reddy's Padayatra, Jagan Mohan Reddy's Odarpu Yatra, Telangana agitations, Sachin Tendulkar... that is, clippings of some of the most sensational news stories of the recent past playing to a serious background score.

Pawan makes his entry in characteristic style by settling a squabble between two student groups representing different castes. He does so by beating up every one of them and giving a speech to the media. That lands him a job as a journalist in a leading news channel and he goes about his job making arousing speeches, beating up politicians and so on and so forth.

He earns the wrath of a scheming former chief minister, Jawahar Naidu (Kota), who looks a little too much like Karunanidhi. Prakash Raj plays his son Rana Babu, a wannabe politician.

What plays out seems like a layman's take on the media-politician nexus that is resolved by one far-fetched climax. The movie works largely because of the second-half. Although it's low on logic it's pretty high on emotion. Also, the background score plays its part. The music by Mani Sarma is passable but his background score is much better. The visuals are alright. The dialogues are easily the best part of the film, besides Pawan, that is.

Did we forget Tamannaah? Well she's as pretty as ever, but is unfortunately reduced to being no more than of ornamental value in the film.

Tip-Off: Well it's cheesy alright but there's enough entertainment value in it provided you leave your brains home

'Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu' Review: This Telugu film is an engaging watch

'Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu' is not just a perfect follow up to 'Gabbar Singh' but even surpasses it in many departments.

Puri, who disappointed everybody with 'Devudu Chesina Manushulu', ensures unadulterated entertainment and thought-provoking moments in his latest offering.

When a righteous journalist is killed by a corrupt politician named Rana Babu, a socially responsible mechanic Ramnabu, played by Pawan Kalyan, turns to journalism after being persuaded by Ganga, played by Tamannaah, to expose crimes of the politician.

However, Rambabu did not anticipate that, as a journalist, he was always expected to play by the books. Irked by the situation, he steps down as a journalist and clashes horns with Rana Babu.

How will Rambabu stop Rana at all costs from becoming the next chief minister forms the rest of the story.

Puri takes a dig at the political state of affairs in Andhra Pradesh. The scenes that unfold mirrors the current condition of people in the state. Sensitive issues such as Telangana and riots among college students are addressed intelligently.

Of course, the style Puri chooses may appear cliched but on the whole, he does stir the mind.

The audiences will be engaged by Pawan's dynamism and Puri's powerful dialogues and his narration at breakneck speed.

The film keeps you hooked, especially during comical moments involving Brahmanandam and Ali. Puri brilliantly uses these comedians to emphasise on the flawed, over-hyped and unethical media in this country.

One particular scene between Brahmanandam and Pawan in the newsroom is hilarious and appreciative.

Pawan performs with ease and elan and his timing for comedy is commendable.

Tamannaah is impressive in her role and proves she is one of the best actresses in the industry. Kota Srinivasa Rao and Prakash Raj, playing father and son (villains), are maniacal and brilliant.

However, the role essayed by Prakash seems similar to the one he played in 'Businessman'.

Puri has once again proved his mettle as a scriptwriter and director. Although the film may partly appear superfluous, he and Pawan do manage to grab your attention.

Mani Sharma's music may not appeal to everyone, it is sure to impress Pawan fans.

Story:

Rambabu (Pawan kalyan) is a responsible citizen and fights against all odds in the society. Unlike others, he reacts immediately for the news and tries to rescue the needy. Ganga (Tamanna) works for a regional news channel and persuades Rambabu to join the team after knowing about his character. Opposition leader Jawahar Naidu(Kota Srinivasa Rao) gives sleepless nights to the Chief Minister of the state (Nasser) and his only aim is to see his son Rana Babu (Prakash Raj) as Chief Minister. Does Rana Babu becomes CM ? How does Rambabu try to bring a change in the society forms the rest of the story.
Analysis :

The first half of Cameraman Ganga tho Rambabu is laced with couple of heart touching scenes and entertainment. Director Puri Jagannadh has tried to establish the character of Rambabu in the first half and this hour is good in parts. The second half of Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu is the soul of the movie. Pawan Kalyan is amazing and once again has come up with a brilliant performance. Be it in comedy, his pot shots on the present state of politics has hit the bulls eye and received thumping response from the audience. The scenes like Pawan Kalyan interviewing Prakash Raj before his padayatra(the Telugu Talli episode), the cross dressers fight and the way Pawan Kalyan explains about the difference between extraordinary and ordinary women are fantastic.

Director Puri Jagannadh has carried the movie with par excellence and he needs a round applause for the way he has executed the script. Especially, this half of the movie deals with contemporary issues and apparently awakens social responsibility in every individual. He presented each and every element in a distinct way and apparently it will be received with a great response from the audience. Though, the climax episode have resemblance with Chiranjeevi's 'Tagore', it has been dealt in a different way as per the script. The narration is gripping through out and the song 'Melikal Tirugunte' stands out as the winner.
TeluguOne Perspective :

Director Puri Jagannadh has done fantastic homework and has  presented Pawan Kalyan in a versatile role. The script is tailor made for Pawan Kalyan and I’m sure his fans will love it to the core. The movie has been shot in less than 3 months time and Puri has done a commendable job in showcasing what exactly he has written in the script. He is successful in using Pawan Kalyan to the potential and in fact, only Pawan Kalyan can do justice for these kind of films that deal with several burning issues of the society. Puri has targeted several politicians and several issues with elan and with a fantastic conviction. And it is a delight to watch Pawan Kalyan uttering dialogues in reference to the society.

Though it has some limitations, the love angle between the lead pair has been showcased well. Overall, Puri Jagannadh has come up with a right script and apt star cast and Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu is a feast for Pawan Kalyan fans and normal audience. The range of the movie will depend upon the crowd pulling capacity of Powerstar and all I can say is this movie is going to set new milestones in terms of collections at box office. The openings will be huge and apparently Pawan Kalyan is going to give tough fight for the #1 position of Tollywood.

Performances:

Pawan Kalyan is excellent and carried the movie on his shoulders. He marvels in dialogue delivery, comedy timing and needless to say in action episodes as well. This movie will appease all sections of audience for sure and this is a one man show. Tamanna is a delight to watch and has delivered a wonderful performance. Kota Srinivasa Rao is good and Prakash Raj is superb. Ali and Brahmanandam evoked few smiles. Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam is neat. Gabriela Bertante has delivered a decent performance. Scarlet Wilson sizzled in an item song.

Technicalities:

SR Sekhar editing could have been better. Shyam K Naidu's Cinematography is outstanding. Music by Mani Sharma is OK and background score is excellent. Screenplay and dialogues by Puri Jagannadh are fantastic. The last dialogue 'Ee Rashtram naa kutumbam gurinchi pattinchukokapoina nenu ee rashtram gurinchi pattinchunta' received stupedous response from the audience. Stunts by Vijay are too good.

Bigg Boss 6 is the current sixth season of the Indian reality TV show Bigg Boss, which airs on Colors from 7 October 2012 with Salman Khan returning as the host for the show.

Salman Khan launched the 6th season as a Parivarik season with a Gujarati tagline- Alag che! (English: It's different). The contestants on Bigg Boss 6 will be, as the producers want it, presented with a cleaner, more "family like image".

During the launch on 7 October, fourteen hand-picked housemates entered the house located in Lonavla, a hill station, about 100 kilometres east of Mumbai in the Indian state of Maharashtra. The season also introduced selection of one housemate via audition chosen from among the common non-celebrity people of India. The housemates, considered strangers for each other, will spend 90 days locked out together under the supervision of 70 cameras fitted around the house.

New Delhi: Salman Khan is back with the sixth season of India’s one of the most popular reality shows, ‘Bigg Boss’. This year, 15 contestants are likely to be locked inside the house.

T20 World Cup 2012 Sri Lanka will be the fourth ICC T20 Cricket World Cup Competition, ICC World Twenty20 2012 is an international Twenty20 Cricket tournament that will be held in Sri Lanka between September 18 and October 7, 2012. This will be the first T20 cricket World Cup tournament held in an Asian country, the last three being held in South Africa, England and the West Indies respectively.

The format will see four groups of three in a preliminary round. India and England are in the same group and will be joined by one of the Associate or Affiliate teams that qualify. The other qualifying team will be in a group with West Indies and Australia. Sri Lanka, South Africa and Zimbabwe, and Pakistan, New Zealand and Bangladesh are the other two groups. Match fixtures were announced on 21 September 2011 by ICC. On the same date, the ICC also unveiled the logo of the tournament, named "Modern Spin.


The ICC World Twenty20 2012 will be the fourth edition of the ICC T20 tournament. The first T20 cricket World Cup was hosted by South Africa in 2007, where India beat Pakistan in a thriller to become Twenty20 champions. Pakistan, the losing finalists in t20 world cup cricket 2007, defeated Sri Lanka in the T20 World Cup 2009 tournament to become World t20 Champions, held in England. England became the third World Twenty20 champions by beating Australia in the West Indies. The ICC World Twenty20 2014 is to be held in Bangladesh.

Apart from the ten test cricket playing nations, there will be a further two associate/affiliate teams who would qualify from the 2012 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier to be staged in the United Arab Emirates from March 13–14, 2012.


The format is the same as the ICC World Twenty20 cricket 2010 edition. The top two teams from each group will proceed to the Super Eight stage of the tournament. The Super Eight will consist of two groups. The top two teams from the two Super Eight groups would play the semi-finals, and the semi-final winners would contest the final, to be played at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Stadium. The winner of this final shall be crowned world champions in Twenty20 cricket. England are the defending champions, having won the 2010 edition in the West Indies.
